Overview
Burger To Night is a food ordering web application that I built as a personal learning project in 2024. I started it during my internship at Stellarsoft and kept working on it in my spare time afterwards. Whenever a senior colleague suggested something to learn, I studied it and then implemented it in this application. It started life as BiteQuest with a Vue frontend; the current version pairs a .NET Web API backend with a React (TypeScript) frontend. The storefront has Home, About, Deals, Menu, Categories and Contact pages, a shopping cart button and a light/dark theme toggle. A separate admin panel provides a dashboard and sections for managing products, categories, orders and customers.
What it includes
Storefront: customer-facing pages for deals, the menu and categories, with a cart and a light/dark theme toggle.
Admin dashboard: total sale, total orders and top customer figures, plus an orders overview chart and a top products chart.
Product management: a searchable products table with a Create New action.
Authentication: JWT-based authentication.
Technologies
Backend: C# and a .NET Web API exposing REST endpoints with CRUD operations, LINQ for data retrieval, the repository pattern, and JWT authentication.
Frontend: React with TypeScript, using Redux for state management.
